I was assigned a piece in 20th Century Literature based on the novel Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke. Or rather I chose this out of all of the options provided. It was something to submit so I decided "Meh, what the hell."
If you've read the book, great.
If not, you're not much worse off than I was. I missed a bunch because they started the book when I was sick for four days. @^@
It's really crappy quality, and I'm sorry for that. But I cropped it multiple times... bleh.

The author was a very big influential in modernized science and even possibly the reason why satellites are advanced as they are.
Which is such a shame that not many know of his works, let alone this one. Honestly, I wouldn't have come across it myself if it wasn't a novel that must have been read in my Science Fiction class. Though there were many points that were practically boring, the over all plot and suspense was worth it. ^^
And well I obviously come to favor Karrellen myself. So shocked to see a new piece up in so long, but it is much welcomed.
That look with just a hint of compassion really show's Karrellen's love for the earth. It's a worthy piece though the only thing I have to say about it is that the "Overlords" were ebony. But with the mention that they appeared like devils, it's a common misconception.
Either way, this piece had made my night.
